Business Partners Take on New Venture Opening Dickey’s Barbecue Pit
(Mechanicsburg, PA) Paul Davis and Jim Heberlig wanted a family based business with a proven track record. On Thursday, June 5 at 11:00 a.m., Davis and Heberlig will open their first Dickey’s Barbecue Pit. To celebrate, the new Mechanicsburg location is hosting a three-day grand opening celebration. The first 50 guests will receive a gift card for up to $50.
Friday, radio station BOB 94.9 will be onsite from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and this location will be serving $2 pulled pork barbecue sandwiches. Saturday, the new Dickey’s Barbecue Pit will offer all day merchandise giveaways. Also, one lucky winner will be chosen for a $500 gift card and three winners will receive free barbecue for an entire year.
“As we continued to look at other business ventures, we couldn’t shake what we had experienced with Dickey’s Barbecue Pit,” said first time owner Paul Davis. “Jim and I have continued to be impressed by the company and look forward to opening more Dickey’s in our area.”
Davis, a former school principal and Heberlig, a former supervisor for a Starbucks distribution plant have over 26 years of leadership experience. Since beginning construction, Davis and Heberlig began integrating into the Mechanicsburg community by meeting local business owners and joining The Mechanicsburg Chamber of Commerce.
