Dickey’s Barbecue Donates to Food Banks Across the Country
(Dallas, TX) Local food banks across the nation are in need of donations. Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. answered the call by donating over $16,000 in frozen Barbecue Honey Hams, Polish Sausage, and Smoked and Cajun Fried Turkeys. This equates to approximately five thousand pounds of meat donated nationwide.
“With the growing need for hunger relief, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit franchisees, employees and crew members are so pleased to make these donations that will benefit so many families,” said Roland Dickey, Jr., president and chief executive officer for Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “It makes our entire restaurant concept proud to do our part to fight hunger.”
Donations were made to Wayside Soup Kitchen in Portland, Maine, San Antonio Food Bank, Santa Barbara Rescue Mission, Wiregrass Area Unite Way Food Bank in Dothan, Alabama , Bishop Sullivan Center in Kansas City, Missouri, Good Shepherd Food Bank and Western Eagle Foundation in Temecula, California to name a few.
