Cornhusker Starts Slow Smokin’ in Bellevue with New Dickey’s Barbecue Pit

Cornhusker Brings Slow Smokin’ Barbecue to Bellevue with Dickey’s

(Bellevue, NE) Brandon Kosek knows a little about Nebraska –he attended the University of Nebraska and grew up in Seward. When Kosek tasted Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, he knew it would be a hit in Bellevue and on Thursday, July 17 at 11 a.m., Kosek will open his first Dickey’s Barbecue Pit. The new location kicks off with a three-day grand opening celebration where the first 50 dine-in guests receive gift cards worth up to $50.

“Nebraska is a great market for barbecue and in Bellevue we don’t have many options, which is a shame because everyone here loves barbecue,” said first time franchise owner, Brandon Kosek. “I’m especially excited about Bellevue being close to the Offutt Air Force Base and look forward to serving our armed forces some great barbecue.”

Friday, radio station KAT 103.7 is onsite from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This location will be serving $2 pulled pork barbecue sandwiches. Also, one lucky winner will be chosen for a $500 gift card and three winners will receive free barbecue for an entire year. Saturday, the new Dickey’s Barbecue Pit will offer all day merchandise giveaways.

Prior to opening his first restaurant, Kosek supervised three McDonald’s restaurants. Kosek plans to open at least four more Dickey’s Barbecue locations across Nebraska and Iowa in the coming years. The new Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Bellevue is located at 4102 Twin Creek Drive, Suite 116 and the phone number is 402.905.9673. Keep up with this newest location on Facebook.
