Dickey’s Barbecue Adds 7 New Locations in the Omaha Market

(Dallas, TX) The nation’s largest barbecue franchise  is expanding its reach in the Omaha market. With the first area location opened earlier this month by franchisee Joe Nguyen, Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants has plans to expand with seven additional locations slated to open later this year. “We’ve seen a groundswell of interest in the Omaha market and growth is showing no signs of slowing down,” said Roland Dickey, Jr., President and CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc.  “Much of the new development is from franchisees planning to open multiple locations. We provide a valuable franchise opportunity and support system that are second to none.” The 375-unit restaurant chain has maintained impressive growth adding over 200 stores in just two years.  The company currently has over 150 stores in development and is adding locations in key growth markets. Franchisee, Steven Swift is a retiree relocating from Texas to Omaha to expand the Dickey’s Barbecue brand in the area. Brandon Kosek, a former McDonald’s franchisee, will be developing Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants in Bellevue and Council Bluffs.  “I did my research and was impressed with Dickey’s concept of impressive growth at a low start-up cost,” said multi-unit franchisee Brandon Kosek.  “I’m originally from the Omaha area and can’t wait to share the authentic Texas barbecue with the community.”Dickey’s Barbecue Pit opened its first location in Dallas in 1941. Dickey’s began franchising in 1994 and has continued to grow across the country. Dickey’s currently has more than 380 locations in 43 states nationwide.  With every new restaurant, the company creates additional jobs for landlords, brokers, construction companies, and of course the city itself.
