
Dickey’s Barbecue Pit Opens Second Oregon Location
Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Eugene will open on Thursday, November 21 with a three-day celebration. The first 50 dine-in customers will receive a gift card for up to $50 to Dickey’s Barbecue Pit. “I’m excited to bring a different type of restaurant to the Eugene community,” said franchise owner Joy Hedge. “This is a very social community and I know people will love the authentic Texas barbecue that we will be serving.” Friday, customers will enjoy a day full of merchandise giveaways. Then Saturday, radio station New Country 93 will be on site from to noon to 2:00p.m and Dickey’s Barbecue will be serving $2 Pulled Pork Barbecue sandwiches. One lucky customer will win a $500 gift card. Joy Hedge is originally from Oregon and worked in management prior to owning a Dickey’s Barbecue Pit. After learning about the history and growth of the franchise, Hedge and business partners, John Coleman and Nathan Lang knew they wanted to bring Dickey’s Barbecue Pit to Oregon. Coleman grew up eating Dickey’s Barbecue in Dallas. The Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Eugene is located at 1680 Corburg Road next to Side Bar and Dairy Queen and the store number is 541-393-6650.
