Dickey’s Sponsors Great American Car, Bike & Truck Show

Engines will roar and grills will smoke at the 3rd Annual Great American Car, Bike & Truck Show, taking place on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Whiting Town Center, 108 Lacey Rd Suite 1A, Whiting, NJ. Sponsored by Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, the event has become a summer highlight in Ocean County, drawing crowds of auto enthusiasts and families alike.

Last year’s show saw over 250 cars on display, and organizers expect even more vehicles this year as classic and modern rides compete for top honors. “This event is a celebration of community, craftsmanship, and a shared passion for cars, bikes, and trucks,” said Gary Mulligan, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit franchisee and proud local sponsor. “It brings people together in a fun way and adds flavor to the neighborhood, both literally and figuratively.”

Participants will compete for Top 85 Best in Show awards, with categories spanning trucks, bikes, jeeps, and classic or modern cars. Specialty trophies will also be awarded, including Mayor’s Choice, Police Chief’s Choice, Fire Chief’s Choice, Dickey’s Choice, People’s Choice, and Hot Rod Mike’s Choice. DJ Hot Rod Mike will keep the energy high with music throughout the day.

Car owners can register on-site for $20 per vehicle, with gates opening at 8 a.m. and registration closing at noon. “We’re proud to help sponsor an event that isn’t just about showcasing vehicles but about creating memorable experiences,” added Roland Dickey, Jr., CEO of Dickey’s Capital Group. “It’s about honoring the passion people put into their cars and their community.”

Spectators can expect an exciting day filled with chrome, horsepower, and mouthwatering barbecue favorites available for purchase from Dickey’s. In case of inclement weather, the rain date is set for Friday, August 29th.
