ER Nurse Opens Dickey’s Barbecue Pit to Hometown of Hobbs

(Hobbs, NM) On Thursday October 16 at 11 a.m., New Mexico will get a piece of their Texas neighbor when Jason Scott opens Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in his hometown of Hobbs. To celebrate his new endeavor, Scott is hosting a three day grand opening where the first 50 dine in guests receive gift cards worth up to $50.

“I was ready for a change after 22 years in the medical field and I knew Hobbs was missing a great variety of restaurants, specifically barbecue,” said first time owner, Jason Scott. “When researching top franchises, I found Dickey’s Barbecue and decided this would be perfect for Hobbs.”

On Friday, guests can grab Dickey’s Barbecue gear with all day merchandise giveaways. On Saturday from noon to 2 p.m., radio station The Eagle 100.9 will be on-site when one lucky winner will be chosen for a $500 gift card and three winners receive free barbecue for an entire year. The new location is also serving up $2 pulled pork barbecue sandwiches during the event.

New Mexico gets a second Dickey’s Barbecue location later this month in Albuquerque. The new Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Hobbs is located at 1010 West Joe Harvey Boulevard and the phone number is 575.392.2277. Stay current on this location’s barbecue deals on Facebook
