Mr. Dickey Visits Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Overland Park

(Kansas City, KS) Roland Dickey, Sr. barbecue expert and chairman of Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is stopping by Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Overland Park on Friday, August 15 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a Customer Appreciation Event. Mr. Dickey will give out 100 free autographed copies of his new cookbook, Mr. Dickey’s Barbecue Cookbook just in time for Labor Day parties.

“I take great pleasure in meeting our local guests and visiting our dedicated franchisees in their restaurants,” said chairman, Roland Dickey, Sr. “We’re thrilled the Kansas City area has been so welcoming to Dickey’s Barbecue and excited about our future expansion.”

On Friday, all of Kansas City area restaurants will serve $2 pulled pork barbecue sandwiches.  Radio station Country 94.1 will be on-site from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. when one lucky winner will receive free barbecue for an entire year. Following the event, Mr. Dickey will stop by locations in Liberty and Kansas City.

“We’re honored to have Mr. Dickey visit our restaurant,” said local franchisee, Sam Kafoure.  “I know our guests are will appreciate meeting the man behind the barbecue and the chance to win a free barbecue for a year.”
