
New Dickey’s Barbecue Pit Hosts 3-Day Grand Opening in Brenham
(Brenham, TX) Lowell Nix has enjoyed life in Brenham for the last 30 years. On Thursday, May 15 at 11:00a.m., Nix will bring slow smoked barbecue to town when he opens the newest Dickey’s Barbecue Pit. To celebrate, the new Brenham location is hosting a three-day grand opening celebration. The first 50 guests will receive a gift card for up to $50.
“My wife and I have lived in Brenham for the last 30 years and have teenagers attending Brenham High School,” said Nix. “We are excited to serve slow smoked barbecue to the community and show them our passion for the art of great barbecue.”
Nix’s family has a long line of business owners in the Brenham community. His great grandfather Carl Glissman owned a Pharmacy in downtown Brenham and his grandfather ” Buck” Greenwade was a city engineer in Brenham. His mother is City Councilman Gloria Nix. Nix considers serving slow smoked meat to Brenham is just another way to continue the family legacy of serving Brenham community.
Friday, the new Dickey’s Barbecue Pit will be offering all day merchandise giveaways. Saturday, radio station will be onsite from noon to 2:00 p.m. and this location will be serving $2 pulled pork barbecue sandwiches. Also, one lucky winner will be chosen for a $500 gift card and three winners will receive free barbecue for an entire year.
Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Brenham will provide slow smoked beef brisket, pulled pork, smoked turkey, spicy cheddar sausage, Polish sausage, chicken, and St. Louis style ribs in a fast casual atmosphere. The restaurant is located at 401 Highway 290 W and store phone number is 979.830.7200
