The Dickey Foundation Awards Grant to Kalamazoo Public Safety
The Dickey Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, awards grants to provide first responders with critical protective equipment and safety gear they need to help make their job easier and, more importantly, safer.
On Friday, October 8th at 11:30 a.m. the Dickey Foundation along with local Owner/Operator Krage Fox will award the city with 2 drones for their FAA licensed Aviation Unit. This will take place at the Public Safety Department, 511 Stone Street, in Kalamazoo, Mi.
The grant will help purchase drones, which are unmanned aerial tools that will greatly enhance response capabilities for working structure fires, hazmat emergencies as well as missing persons and locating fleeing individuals who pose a threat to the public.
