Veteran Achieves Dream of Owning a Restaurant with New Dickey’s Barbecue Pit
(Brandywine, MD) On Thursday, April 2 at 11 a.m., the US Air Force Veteran, Brian Patnett, will open Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Brandywine. To celebrate, Patnett is hosting a three-day grand opening celebration that will include giving away free barbecue for a year.
“Our veteran owner operators have a proven success rate.” said Roland Dickey, Jr., CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue. “It’s exciting to see owner operators who served our country now getting the opportunity to own their own business.”
Friday, the party kicks off when the first 50 guests receive gift cards worth up to $50. The party continues on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. when radio station Hot 99.5 will be onsite and one lucky winner will be chosen for a $500 gift card and three winners will receive free barbecue for a year. Partygoers can grab a bargain with $2 pulled pork barbecue sandwiches. Sunday, guests can stop by for Dickey’s Barbecue for all day merchandise giveaways including sunglasses and koozies.
“I can’t wait to bring Dickey’s Barbecue to Brandywine,” said first time owner, Brian Patnett. “My location is perfect because it sits on the border of two counties who love barbecue.”
